Tradebuilders, a new Washington DC-based company that is using IT to promote trade and connect companies around the world, is conducting a one-month pilot US-India virtual trade mission from April 16 to May 18. This virtual trade mission will help U.S. firms build relationships with leading software companies in India over the Internet, including opportunities for selling, outsourcing, joint venturing, and/or investment. The Web-based virtual trade mission will feature online meetings and a videoconference on May 18. More than 20 firms in India and more than 30 firms in the United States have already registered.

In India, the trade mission is backed by the Electronics and Computer Software Promotion Council (ESC) under the Indian Government's Ministry of IT; India's largest B2B exchange,; and the business association AWAKE. In the U.S., it is backed by several prominent IT companies including Cvent, Caucus Systems, Inc., and Challo; Ernst & Young's India Business Group; and the law firm of Thelen Reid & Priest.
