A virtual trade mission for security issues is preparing for an encore.

Last Wednesday, about 45 people in Washington, D.C.’s Reagan Building teleconferenced with 15 people in Tel Aviv. That “meeting” followed up on three weeks of Web-based networking.

“Today was the first day they had a chance to put a face on all the people they were networking with,” said Elizabeth Vazquez, of TradeBuilders, a Washington, D.C., company that coordinated the event along with the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the D.C. Tech Council and Sonic Telecom, which has offices in Chantilly, Va.
